My work. https://youtu.be/XfTqVP7cc44

I use painting, collage and installations to explore bodily autonomy, how we see and the exploration of the solar system. I currently have a studio at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, MA where I hold open studios once a month. I have worked on and off in museums and galleries for many years. I view my curatorial work as an extension of my artwork.

My work often involves viewing devices, perspective, viewpoints and shifts in perception. I use mirrors, lens and anamorphs to create an awareness of looking. One looks at oneself looking.  I recently coauthored a chapter in Academics, Artists, and Museums 21st-Century Partnerships Edited by Irina D. Costache, Clare Kunny, IDEAS: The Art Museum as Laboratory for Learning, Rachel Middleman and Deborah Edwards Banerjee, Routledge, 2019.

I have exhibited my work at Franklin Furnace, New York, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, Riverside Art Museum, Los Angeles Center for Photographic Studies, The Betty Rymer Gallery, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, The Lab, San Francisco, Occidental College, University of California at Irvine. I have worked on and off in museums and galleries for 30 years including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, The Hammer Museum, UCLA and the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art at Utah State University. Subjects of my curatorial work have included bioethics, comic art, ecology, feminism and conceptual art. I have a MFA from CalArts and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
